Description:
The Saint Mary's Hospice & Palliative Care program's basic principle is to support people in living until they die. Their goal is to provide an extraordinary level of service to ensure patients and their families receive the compassion and dignity you deserve at the end of life, allowing you to live life to the fullest.

The Hospice Care Team includes Physicians, Hospice Nurses, Home Health Aides, Social Workers, Volunteers, Bereavement Counselors, Nutrition Experts, Spiritual Care Providers and Music Therapists.

Services include 24-hour nurse availability 7 days a week, Life-affirming focus on maintaining dignity & comfort, Palliative therapies focusing on pain & symptom management, Hospice home health aide & homemaker services, Volunteer services for companionship & respite support, Primary physician involvement, Spiritual Counseling, Psychosocial/family support, Nutritional support, Continuity of care to support changes in residential status, Patient/family education, Medical supplies & equipment, Billing support services, Bereavement counseling& follow-up services.

St. Mary's Hospice and Palliative Care program is a Medicare Certified, JCAHO Certified Hospice service. Hospice Care is about living every moment until you die. The Palliative Care Consult service offers support to individuals that have a life-limiting disease and will benefit from pain and symtom management.
