Description:

The Cancer Resource Center offers patients limited, free bodywork services during their first year of cancer diagnosis or re-diagnosis. A single caregiver may also be eligible to receive a gift certificate for one free bodywork appointment as well.

Massage Therapy: Involves manipulation, rubbing and kneading the body's muscles and soft tissue.

Healing Touch/Qigong: A technique in which the hands are used to direct energy for healing purposes.

Neighbors Caring for Neighbors: Matches patients with local bodywork businesses in the community that offer additional free services such as Reiki, Healing Touch, Tai Chi, chiropractic care, massage, reflexology, and acupuncture.

Users of these services have expressed the benefits of helping to cope with side effects of cancer treatments such as nausea, pain, fatigue, worries, and stress.
