Description:
MOCA provides support to women with ovarian cancer and their families, raises awareness of the disease and funds research in Minnesota to develop earlier detection methods, better treatment options and a cure. MOCA offers support groups in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Brainerd and the Young Survivor Network. There are also groups who meet as needed in Rochester, St. Cloud and we may soon have a third in Park Rapids. For meeting times, dates and locations, check out MOCA’s website at www.mnovarian.org or call the Public Education Program Manager at 612-822-0500.

MOCA Mentor Program
The MOCA Mentor Program is a group of MOCA members who are willing to connect one-on-one over the phone and share their stories and experiences with others. The Mentor Program includes ovarian cancer survivors, partners of survivors, daughters who have lost their mothers to ovarian cancer, and friends of survivors. If you'd like a call from a MOCA Mentor, call Jodi at 612-822-0500.

MOCA is a multi-faceted organization providing information, counseling and advocacy to ovarian cancer patients, their caregivers, and medical professionals. It also provides marketing, promotion and fundraisers to sustain the organization's efforts and to contribute to the ongoing research for a cure. MOCA coordinates a speaker's bureau for community and local education.

MOCA Dream Awards are awards granted to ovarian cancer survivors in the state of Minnesota to help fulfill a dream of theirs, be it a trip, a family reunion, or a personal hobby or passion. A MOCA Dream Award is for women with ovarian cancer, in treatment or survivors, to fulfill a dream they haven’t been able to fulfill. MOCA is currently accepting applications for these awards though September 2011.  The recipients will be announced in November. Applications are available on MOCA’s website or by calling the office and an application will be mailed to you at your request.
