The Family Resource Center provides a quiet, comfortable, soothing environment where patient families at Children's Hospitals & Clinics of Minnesota can find up-to-date health information, connect with community resources, learn about child safety and development – or simply escape the stress that comes with being in the hospital. The Resource Center are staffed with supportive, caring professionals who are available to assist families with the following services and amenities:

·         Library services, including reference assistance and customized information packages for consumer health, parenting, and community resource questions.

·         A “Links to Reliable Health and Parenting Information” page, which helps families find high-quality health and parenting information on the Web.

·         Computers for Internet and e-mail access and other business applications.

·         CaringBridge™, an Internet service that helps parents create a personalized, secure Web page to stay in touch with friends and relatives through an online journal, photo album, and guestbook. www.caringbridge.org/childrensmn

  • Photocopier and fax machine
  • Notary  
  • Information about local hotels, restaurants, parks, bus lines, and recreational activities for children and families. 
  •  Magazines, novels, cross-stitch kits, and other leisure activities.
  • Financial counseling helps patient families at Children's Hospitals and Clinics apply for financial assistance

All of these services are offered at no cost to patient families.
