Caregiver and family support seminars are held that focus on parenting with cancer and age appropriate groups for children who have a parent with cancer.
Caregivers Class: Family members and friends of cancer patients focus on the importance of self-care by discussing ways to reduce stress, mobilize resources and identify options to care for themselves in the midst of family crisis. Held at 6:30pm on the 4th Wednesday of every month.
Facing Cancer Together: This program, offered in partnership with Angel Foundation, is designed to provide information and support to families as they face the challenges of cancer. While parents meet, children join their peers in age-specific groups. Offered several times throughout the year. Call 952-993-5700 for time and location.
Individual & Family Counseling Sessions: Trained counselors help friends, families and significant others communicate about the difficult issues cancer presents. Individual sessions for children and adolescents whose parents have cancer are also available.
